بدعوة من الأمانة العامة لمجلس الوزراء ….كان لنا حضور اليوم الثلاثاء 2023/10/31….في مؤتمر المرأة والامن السلام … دائرة تمكين المرأة العراقية رئيس لجنة المرأة العربية دروة 42 تؤكد تضامنها مع النساء في فلسطين . اكدت دائرة تمكين المرأة العراقية في الأمانة العامة لمجلس الوزراء تضامنها مع النساء الفلسطينيات بسبب ما تمر به غزة من عدوان وانتهاكات من قبل الاحتلال الصهيونى . جاء ذلك في المؤتمر السنوي لمتابعة تنفيذ أنشطة الخطة الوطنية الثانية لاجندة المرأة والامن والسلام الذي عقدته الدائرة بدار الضيافة بالعاصمة بغداد بالتعاون مع برنامج الامم المتحدة الانمائي بحضور برلماني وتنفيذي واكاديمي . واشارت مدير عام دائرة تمكين المرأة العراقية رئيس الدورة الحالية للجنة المرأة العربية 42 الدكتورة يسرى كريم محسن خلال كلمتها الى اهمية القرار 1325 الذي مثل حدثا دوليا كبيرا سلط فيه الضوء على اهمية دور المرأة ومشاركتها في صنع السلام والاستقرار. كما أكدت على التزام الحكومة العراقية بتنفيذ أنشطة وبرامج الخطة الوطنية الثانية 2021_2024 وتحقيقها العديد من الانجازات. واوضحت كذلك الالتزام بتنفيذ البرنامج الحكومي الذي أكد فيه السيد رئيس مجلس الوزراء ضرورة العمل على وضع الخطط والسياسات للنهوض بواقع المرأة بمختلف المجالات ، وهو الذي كان اساسا لدائرة تمكين المرأة وبأشراف وتوجيه السيد الأمين العام لمجلس الوزراء الدكتور حميد الغزي لوضع الخطط لتعزيز دور المرأة في الأمن والسلام ضمن الاستراتيجية الوطنية للمرأة العراقية للسنوات 2023-2030. واضافت انه خلال اجتماعات العمل حول الأدوات السياساتية والتي تقيمها الاسكوا بمشاركة الدول العربية واطلاع الاسكوا على تجربة العراق في تبني الاستراتيجية الوطنية للمرأة العراقية 2023-2030. ارتأوا أن تستخدم تجربة العراق كنموذج في الدليل الإرشادي باعتبارها قصة نجاح تساعد الدول في فهم الآلية التي أتبعتها الدولة للوصول للتغيير المنشود. وتضمنت فقرات المؤتمر استعراضا لانجازات الخطة الوطنية الثانية قدمته دائرة تمكين المرأة العراقية في الأمانة العامة لمجلس الوزراء، وما انجزته الأمانة العامة والوزارات والمؤسسات الحكومية من خطط وبرامج لدعم المرأة العراقية تثمينا لدورها في المجتمع وخدمة للمصلحة العامة. هذا وحضر المؤتمر رئيس لجنة المراة في البرلمان ، ومستشار رئيس مجلس الوزراء لشؤون المرأة، ومستشار رئيس مجلس النواب للمرأة، وعددا من الجهات التنفيذية ومنظمات المجتمع المدني. دائره تمكين المراة

At the invitation of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers… we had an attendance today,
Tuesday, 10/31/2023… at the Women and Peace Security Conference… The Iraqi Women’s Empowerment Department, Chairman of the Arab Women’s Committee, session 42, affirms its solidarity with women in Palestine.
The Iraqi Women’s Empowerment Department in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers affirmed its solidarity with Palestinian women because of the aggression and violations that Gaza is going through by the Zionist occupation.
This came at the annual conference to follow up on the implementation of the activities of the Second National Plan for the Women, Security, and Peace Agenda, which was held by the department at the guest house in the capital, Baghdad, in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program, in the presence of parliamentarians, executives, and academics.
Director General of the Iraqi Women’s Empowerment Department and Head of the current session of the 42nd Arab Women’s Committee, Dr. Yusra Karim Mohsen, pointed out during her speech the importance of Resolution 1325, which represented a major international event in which it highlighted the importance of women’s role and participation in making peace and stability.
It also stressed the Iraqi government’s commitment to implementing the activities and programs of the Second National Plan 2021-2024 and achieving many achievements.
She also clarified the commitment to implementing the government program in which the Prime Minister stressed the necessity of working on developing plans and policies to advance the status of women in various fields, which was the basis for the Women’s Empowerment Department and under the supervision and guidance of the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Dr. Hamid Al-Ghazi, to develop plans to enhance the role of women in security and peace. Within the national strategy for Iraqi women for the years 2023-2030.
She added that during the working meetings on policy tools held by ESCWA with the participation of Arab countries, ESCWA was informed of Iraq’s experience in adopting the national strategy for Iraqi women 2023-2030. They decided to use the Iraq experience as a model in the guideline as a success story that helps countries understand the mechanism followed by the state to achieve the desired change.
The conference paragraphs included a review of the achievements of the Second National Plan presented by the Iraqi Women’s Empowerment Department in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers and the plans and programs that the General Secretariat, ministries, and government institutions have accomplished to support Iraqi women to value their role in society and serve the public interest.
The conference was attended by the Chairman of the Women’s Committee in Parliament, the Advisor to the Prime Minister for Women’s Affairs, the Advisor to the Speaker of the House of Representatives for Women, and several executive agencies and civil society organizations.
